The Kickoff Meeting between Bac Ninh College of Industry (BCI) and representatives of seven key partner companies and leaders of Bac Ninh Department of Labour, Invalids and Social Affairs ( DoLISA Bac Ninh) to officially establish the Industry Advisory Boards for the two occupations namely metal cutting/CNC and mechatronics were organized on 16 November 2019 at the college.

At the meeting, the participants discussed and agreed on the constitution of the Advisory Boards which specifies tasks and functions of the board and roles of participating companies.  The representatives from the seven companies namely Sanwa Vietnam, Thuan Phong Company, ABB Vietnam, Innotech, Canon Vietnam, Goertek and HB Tech Vina also provided important inputs on their cooperation needs and foci of actions for the two advisory boards. Speaking at the meeting, Mr. Nguyễn Văn Hoàng- Director of HB Tech Vina emphasized “We are committed to join hands with the college as we understand it brings benefits to all stakeholders of the cooperation.”

As a result of the meeting, the college and their partner companies signed and MoU as the ground for the establishment and operation of the Advisory Board for metal cutting/CNC and mechatronics at Bac Ninh College of Industry. The working groups in each Industry Advisory Boards will meet to plan further for activities related to three foci of actions namely adaptation of training programmes to meet skills needs of the industry, delivery of in-company practical training and assessment of training outcomes. In his opening remarks, Mr. Nguyen Kim Trieu- Deputy Director of Bac Ninh Department of Labour, Invalids and Social Affair (DOLISA Bac Ninh) confirmed “What we are doing today is exactly what the provincial government of Bac Ninh Province trying to promote. Working closely with the business sector is the only way to make our training more demand-oriented and relevant.”

Bac Ninh College of Industry is supported by the Vietnamese-German “Programme Reform of TVET in Viet Nam” in developing cooperation with business sector and improvement of vocational training quality for metal cutting/CNC and mechatronics. The programme is financed by the German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ), implemented by Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) together with the Vietnamese Ministry of Labour, Invalids and Social Affairs (MoLISA).
