The German standard-oriented cooperative training programme signifies the successful collaboration between LILAMA 2 International Technology College (LILAMA 2) and Schaeffler Viet Nam, with the support of the Programme “Reform of TVET in Viet Nam” (TVET Programme). Following the success of K13 German standard-oriented cooperative training programme for Metal Cutting occupation, the Graduation Ceremony of K14 with 19 students was successfully organized on the morning of December 11, 2023 with the participation of Mr. Nguyen Huu Khanh Linh – Head of Division of Vocational Training, Dong Nai Department of Labor, Invalids and Social Affairs, management board and staff of Schaeffler Viet Nam and LILAMA 2, representatives and experts from TVET Programme – GIZ, together with trainers, teachers, and families of the students.
At the beginning of the ceremony, Mr. Nguyen Xuan Thang, the General Director of Schaeffler Viet Nam, affirmed: “The cooperative training model currently being implemented between Schaeffler Viet Nam and LILAMA 2 college, with the support of TVET Programme, is an effective model for developing high-quality human resource which should be applied and disseminated”. He expressed confidence in the future employment opportunities for the students upon completing the German standard-oriented cooperative training programme, with the in-company experience making a significant difference in providing occupational skills to students. Moreover, he committed to continuing the cooperation with LILAMA 2 to train future batches of students.
Mr. Nguyen Khanh Cuong, Rector of LILAMA 2 college, also expressed his pride in once again witnessing the good outcome of the close collaboration among the three parties: LILAMA 2 – Schaeffler – GIZ. According to Mr. Cuong, thanks to this collaboration, the cooperative training model has been implemented most effectively in terms of training programmes, facilities, and human resources.
Student Ho Bao Hoang An, representative of the Metal Cutting Class K14, gave the thank-you speech at the ceremony: “We are truly grateful for the dedicated guidance of our teachers and in-company trainers at Schaeffler Viet Nam. Now, we have solid knowledge and skills to strive for academic excellence and contribute in the future.”
This activity was held within the component “Supporting High-Quality TVET Institutes”, supported by the Programme “Reform of Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) in Viet Nam” – on behalf of the German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ) implemented by the Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) GmbH in cooperation with the Vietnamese Directorate of Vocational Education and Training (DVET).
