On 19 May 2020, Long An College, supported by the Programme “Reform of Technical Vocational Education and Training (TVET) in Viet Nam”, organised Kick-off Meeting for Establishment of Advisory Board for Industrial Electrics with a view to the improvement of the demand-orientedness of current training programme in Electrics-Electronics.

Leaders and representatives from Department of Labor – Invalids and Social Affairs (DoLISA) of Long An Province, Long An College, Dat Vinh Tien Company Limited, Binh Minh En Company Limited, Sai Gon Electrical Equipment Corporation and Tu Phuong AD STAR Bag Factory participated in the meeting.

At the meeting, the participants discussed and agreed on the Advisory Board’s constitution, organization and responsibilities. Two key activities of the Advisory Board were to evaluate and update the training programme and to implement the cooperative training model.

Speaking at the meeting, Mr Le Quoc Hung, the College’s Rector emphasized, “The College with work more closely with the enterprises to develop the in-company training plan soon”. Ms. Pham Thi Thanh Thuy, Head of Human Resources Department, Sai Gon Electrical Equipment Corporation confirmed, “The enterprises are going to cooperate with the College in implementation of in-company practical  training. Particularly, the enterprises will teach the practical and production skills.”

Closing the meeting, leaders of Long An College and the enterprises signed the Memorandum of Understanding for Establishment of Advisory Board for Industrial Electrics at the witness of Mr Nguyen Dai Tanh- Vice Director the Provincial DoLISA and the representative from the Programme “Reform of TVET in Viet Nam”.

Long An College is supported by the Vietnamese-German Programme “Reform of TVET in Viet Nam” in developing into a high-quality TVET institute. The programme is financed by the German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ), implemented by Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) together with the Vietnamese Ministry of Labour, Invalids and Social Affairs (MoLISA).
