On January 12th, 2024, the Review Workshop for Industrial Advisory Boards Workshop (IABs) for Metal Cutting and Industrial Electronics was held in Bac Ninh College of Industry (BCI). This workshop aims to evaluate the progress and results of cooperative training programs undertaken in 2023 and lay out the forthcoming cooperative activities in 2024. The Review Workshop also provides opportunities for both the college and its partner companies to discuss ways to enhance the quality of in-company training and internship and efficiency of their cooperation.
The workshop convened representatives from government stakeholders (Bac Ninh Department of Labor – Invalids and Social Affairs – DOLISA), partner enterprises which are members of the two IABs, Programme Reform of TVET in Vietnam, BCI’s leaders, management staffs, and core teachers of Metal Cutting and Industrial Electronics. At the workshop, Mr. Vu Quang Khue – BCI Vice Rector presented comprehensive review of the IAB’s activities over the last 3 years and the GIZ supported online IAB cooperation platform model, which will expectedly come into being in 2024. Reports on the implementation of the two cooperative training programs of Metal Cutting and Industrial Electronics were also delivered by Mr. Nguyen Van Hung (Dean of Mechanical Engineering) and Mr. Tran Trung Hau (Dean of Electrics-Electronics) to summarize the results and progress, as well as to give suggestions for better implementation in the coming year.
The discussion session, steered by Mr. Nguyen Duc Luu (BCI Rector), Mr. Nguyen Quang Tuan (Head of Vocational Training Management Department – DOLISA), and Mr. Tran Thanh Tuan (Head of Training and Cooperation with training institutions Department – Goertek Co.Ltd.), centered on formulating cooperative activities for 2024 among the stakeholders, with focus on both college and in-company training quality assurance and enhancement of cooperation efficiency between the college and its partner companies. Many valuable constructive inputs from enterprises, college, and Bac Ninh DoLISA were collected during this session. In the Workshop, Bac Ninh College of Industry signed the memorandum of understanding (MoU) for collaboration with two additional enterprises, expressing mutual interest in cooperative training with the college.
This activity is carried out within the framework of the Component “Support of High Quality TVET Institutes”, under the Viet Nam-Germany Cooperation Programme “Reform of TVET in Viet Nam”. The Programme “Reform of TVET in Viet Nam” is financed by the German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ), implemented by Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) together with the Vietnamese Ministry of Labour, Invalids and Social Affairs (MoLISA).
