Photo exhibition “Trained to build your career”, 11 – 14/10/2011

The photo exhibition “Trained to build your career” was opened at Bac Ninh Vocational College of Economics and Technology in the presence of senior leaders and officials from central level and Bac Ninh province. The opening was chaired by Viet Nam Vocational Training Association (VVTA) in cooperation with General Department of Vocational Training (GDVT), Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) in Viet Nam and the Bac Ninh College.

Participated in the opening ceremony and visited the exhibition, there were: Mr. Bui Hong Linh – Deputy Minister of MoLISA, Madam Nguyen Thi Hang – Chairwoman of VVTA, Mrs. Ngo Thi Minh – Vice Head of Committee on Culture, Education, Youth and Children of National Assembly, Mr. Bui Sy Loi – Vice Head of Committee on Social Affairs of National Assembly, Mr. Nguyen Tu Quynh – Vice Chairman of Bac Ninh Provincial Peoples Committee, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Cao Van Sam – Deputy Director General of GDVT, Dr. Horst Sommer – Director of Programme Reform of TVET in Viet Nam (GIZ), and representatives of national and local organisations, institutions, media, and especially pupils and students from vocational institutes and high schools around Bac Ninh.

In her speech at the opening ceremony, Madam Hang praised good examples and potentials of TVET while Deputy Minister, Mr. Bui Hong Linh appreciated greatly the communication and propaganda on TVET under the Vietnamese – German Cooperation.

In particular, Dr. Horst Sommer addressed to the young people the importance of gaining wide competencies during TVET for a future working career. He expressed his admiration of the efforts made by staffs, teachers, students of Bac Ninh College in jointly organizing the significant event and preparing the “workshop gallery”. It can say that this is the first photo exhibition organized in training workshops of a TVET institute, displaying an integration of vivid photos of TVET and real TVET delivery modes at workshops.

The exhibition attracts visits of public mass, local institutions, government, pupils and students and their parents. The photos, taken by the German photographer Ralf Baecker, showcase the possibilities and chances that TVET provides. It is a good opportunity for visitors to gain better view and understanding about TVET and its impact in the real life with success stories of Bac Ninh Vocational College of Economics and Technology.
