Ninh Thuan Vocational College (NTVC) hosted on January 27th, 2024, an engaging Open Day for approximately 250 high school students, parents and teachers with representatives from partner companies and the Department of Labour, Invalids and Social Affairs. The event’s overarching goals were to heighten the awareness of Technical and Vocational Traning and Education (TVET) and motivate students to enroll in vocational training programmes at NTVC.
The Open Day featured an exciting campus and workshop exploration tour, offering the school students an immersive experience of the college’s facilities and training activities. Mr. Quoc, rector of the college, introduced attractive training programmes offered at NTVC oriented on German standard. He emphasized the significant recent meeting between Vietnamese and German presidents, indicating increased collaboration in vocational training, education, and enhanced job migration prospects for vocational graduates. The rector also hoped that the participants of the Open Day would later be TVET Ambassadors, helping to raise awareness of vocational training in general and NTVC training programmes in specific among their peers. Mirco Rudoph, working as Development Advisor at the college, highlighted the merits and career prospects of the cooperative training programmes tailor-made for Vietnamese students. Those training programmes orient on German standard and are implemented in cooperation with companies. They aim to inspire students, parents, companies, and high-school leaders to consider the manifold benefits and opportunities inherent in vocational training.
Furthermore, Thuan Hai Renewable Energy Joint Stock Company and Ninh Thuan Vocational College signed a Memorandum of Understanding on high-quality human resource training through involvement in training programs, supporting students in scientific research, accepting interns at the company, as well as creating employment opportunities for fresh graduates.
The event was supported by the Programme “Reform of Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) in Viet Nam”- on behalf of the German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ) implemented by the Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) GmbH in cooperation with the Vietnamese Directorate of Vocational Education and Training (DVET)”
