On 21 March 2022, the workshop on “Introduction of Installation of Rooftop Solar Systems training programme” was organised by Ninh Thuan Vocational College (NTVC), with the participation of representatives of Department of Labor Invalid and Social Affairs, Department of Industry and Trade and 11 enterprises in renewable energy in Ninh Thuan province and other areas. The training programme was developed as part of a cooperation activity between Programme “Reform of TVET in Vietnam”, Project Renewable Energy and Energy Efficiency (4Es) and NTVC, aiming at developing the college’s training capacity for solar PV and renewable energy”.
During the workshop, the participants were provided with the highlights of the training materials detailing different modules of training contents. The training programme certified by the General Directorate of Vocational Training (DVET) is expected to be piloted in April for vocational training students and technical staff of solar companies. Later, once successfully piloted, the training programme will be disseminated, with the support of Programme “Reform of TVET in Vietnam” to 10 other partner TVET colleges.
Mr. Dao Van Rot, Deputy Director of Department of Industry and Trade expressed that with the cooperation with business sector and support from GIZ, NTVC would successfully implement this activity which contributed to efforts to become a renewable energy and clean energy training center of the whole country in the coming time.
