Starting from November 2023 to February 2024, two advanced further training courses on “Industry Applied Additive Manufacturing Processes” and “Programming of Machining Robots and Simulation with Digital Twins” are being conducted by a smart manufacturing expert trainer team of BENGCON, a SIEMENS partner training institute in Germany.
After completing the hybrid training courses of over 160h, the teachers of LILAMA 2 can train those complex issues to technicians and engineers from the machine tool industry as well as multiply their new gained competencies to other teachers and trainees of technical and vocational education and training (TVET).
Nine teachers from the faculties of Mechanical Engineering and Mechatronics of LILAMA 2 International Technology College (LILAMA 2) are being trained to enhance their competencies in additive manufacturing processes, in programming of manufacturing robots and in simulating manufacturing processes with digital twins. The teachers are learning the industrial application of machining robots controlled by SIEMENS NX software where they learn to programme the robots and simulate the programme execution by digital twins with Run My Virtual Machine. They are learning about various additive manufacturing processes in the industry, how to design industrial products with SIEMENS NX and apply 3D-printing processes with digital twins.
Mr Le Tuyen Giao, one of LILAMA 2 master trainers remarked: “This training has been incredibly valuable for me. I’ve learned so much about additive manufacturing and digital twin technology that I cannot wait to share with my trainees and other learners. As we continue to see rapid advancements in manufacturing technology, it is essential that we invest in resources to stay up-to-date with these developments and I am excited to be part of this movement of new smart manufacturing technology”
The success of the just finished online parts of training courses highlights the importance of ongoing professional development for sophisticated digital twin technology with Run My Virtual Machine and SINUMERIK ONE, which sets the foundation for the upcoming workshop training at LILAMA 2 in January and February 2024.
The training courses were conducted in the frame of the Development Partnership with the Private Sector (DPP) “Vocational Training for Smart Manufacturing in Machine Tools”. The DPP is supported by the develoPPP.de programme of the German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ) and jointly implemented by the cooperation partners Siemens Vietnam, LILAMA 2 International Technology College and Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) GmbH, represented by the Programme “Reform of Technical and Vocational Education and Training in Viet Nam”.
