Vietnamese-German Programme Reform of TVET in Viet Nam

On Saturday, 18 November, 2017, the 2nd TalentBiz German Job Fair was organised by the German Business Association (GBA) and the Delegate of German Industry and Commerce (GIC-AHK) at Hoa Lu Stadium, Ho Chi Minh City.
After the success of the 1st TalentBiz German Job Fair organised in October 2015, this year the event attracted more than 2,000 students from universities and colleges. The fair was a remarkable opportunity for young people to access and to get to know the employment demands and recruitment process of leading German companies in Viet Nam such as Mercedes Benz, Siemens, Bosch, etc.
218 trainees and 15 teachers of LILAMA 2 International Technology College (LILAMA 2) attended the Job Fair, supported by Programme Reform of TVET in Viet Nam. The event was a great chance for LILAMA 2 to give an overall introduction about the progress of the College, its achievements in the development process towards becoming a Centre of Excellence for Technical Vocational Education and Training (TVET) in Viet Nam by offering initial and further training based on international standards.
At the College’s booth, its teachers and trainees presented advanced and modern practical equipment and products created by trainees. The exhibited products, produced with high quality and accuracy, meet the requirements of enterprises. This was a useful experience for teachers and trainees of LILAMA 2 and an opportunity to introduce the key Cooperative Training offers of LILAMA 2 in Mechatronics, Metal Cutting-CNC, Industrial Electronics and Construction Mechanics to potential students as well as the German business community. This is one step towards attracting more students to the College and to establish a closer cooperation with the business sector – a necessary effort of LILAMA 2 as a leading TVET institute which offers training based on the needs of the business sector.
LILAMA 2’s trainees have impressed the visitors at the Fair not only by their skillful practical competences; they also expressed their talents in presenting exciting and vibrant dances and songs. Participation in the Job Fair was a remarkable success in promoting the image of TVET in general and the quality of training at LILAMA 2 in particular.
