On August 25, 2023, with the support of the Programme Reform of TVET in Viet Nam (TVET Programme), LILAMA 2 International Technology College (LILAMA 2) held the annual meeting of the Industry Advisory Boards (IAB) with the attendance of managers, staff and in-company trainers of 17 partner companies, alliances along with Rector Board and teachers of LILAMA 2.
During the meeting, under the facilitation of the IAB President – Dr. Le Quang Trung, Vice Rector of LILAMA 2, IAB members actively contributed and exchanged ideas on the plan to undertake cooperative training between the college and partner companies in the near future based on the updates on the current activities of IAB, together with the result demonstration of cooperative training by German standards for the four occupations: Mechatronics, Industrial Electronics, Metal Cutting, and Construction Mechanics.
Based on the demand and suggestions from members, the meeting also came to an agreement to establish four Industry Advisory Boards for four German standard occupations at LILAMA 2. These 4 Boards remain the reciprocal exchange mechanism, and one company could be a member of both boards in the same occupational group. Two IAB Vice Presidents (Mr. Dinh Truong Viet – Mechanics occupational group and Mr. Nguyen Ngoc Khanh – Electric-Electronics occupational group) continue to hold the major advisory role of all four boards.
Mr. Ngo Ngoc Khanh, Vice President of Vietnam Industrial Support Alliance (VISA), contributed some sharing to promote cooperation among members of IAB: “IAB activities in general and business cooperation in particular necessitate the active participation of all businesses. It is expected, particularly with high-tech enterprises, to have more experience sharing to achieve the goal of comprehensive development among member enterprises and create opportunities for students to learn in line with the current trend of scientific and technological development.”
This activity was held within the component “Supporting High-Quality TVET Institutes”, supported by the Programme “Reform of Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) in Viet Nam”- on behalf of the German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ) implemented by the Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) GmbH in cooperation with the Vietnamese Directorate of Vocational Education and Training (DVET).
