General Directorate of Vocational Training of MoLISA witnessed the Signing of the MoU in Vocational Training between GIZ and KOICA in Viet Nam

At the office of the Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) GmbH (GIZ Office) today, GIZ and KOICA (the Korea International Cooperation Agency) signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on cooperation in supporting Vocational Training in Viet Nam for the duration of 2015-2017.

Attending the ceremony were representatives and leaders of GIZ, KOICA. Especially, the leader of GDVT, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Duong Duc Lan also signed in the MoU as “witness”. Dr. Lan, in his remarks said that both KOICA and GIZ have been supporting Vocational Training in Viet Nam since many years, both organisations are engaged in the support of selected TVET institutes to become institute of high quality (centre of excellence in TVET) which is one of the priority tasks for advancing Vocational Training in Viet Nam.

GIZ and KOICA have a close partnership since many years at both the strategic as well as the operational levels, said Mr. Jochem Lange, GIZ Country Director. This MoU indicates the main areas of cooperation in Viet Nam such as: result-based monitoring and evaluation, capacity development for demand-driven TVET in Viet Nam where GIZ will share experiences with KOICA for joint multiplication. Other areas of cooperation include greening TVET in Viet Nam, share knowledge and experiences and others./.
