Dongnai, 21/11 – 9/12/2011

In continuation of the training courses jointly organized by GDVT and GIZ under the Programme Vocational Training 2008, a “Fundamental training on Metal work with Hand-operated Tools” was organized from 21/11 – 9/12/2011 at LILAMA2 Technical and Technology College in Dong Nai province. The training is designed to provide fundamental competencies in metal work as well as related methodical and didactical knowledge and skills to teachers. Fundamentals in metal work are besides fundamentals in electrics/electronics a core basis in occupations like Metal work, mechatronic, electric/electronic.

In this training 17 teachers from the field of mechatronics and industrial electric/electronic were invited from TVET partner institutes of Ninh Thuan, Long An, An Giang and LILAMA2.

With activeness and enthusiasm at work, Mr. Rudolf Sichting – German international expert from Europaeisches Bildungswerk fuer Beruf und Gesellschaft (EBG), Germany shared his long-term experiences in training with his colleagues from Viet Nam. The participants recognized the importance of fundamental metal work, and were very interested in the training methods applied. A lot of products on high quality were manufactured by the teachers with hand-operated tools. The understanding about different material behavior, competent use of hand-operated and precise work are indispensable in Industrial work.

At the closing ceremony, it was remarked by the German trainer and the Director of the hosting college – LILAMA2 that during the intensive training the teachers did make a great effort in gaining the best outputs.
