Event Introduction on Cooperative Training Programmes and Work Safety for German standard pilot classes at VCMI

With the goal of improving the understanding of Cooperative Training Programme and Work Safety for 04 occupations: Industrial Electronics (IE), Electronics for Energy and Building Technology (EEB) , Mechanics for Sanitary, Heating and Climate Technology (SHK) and Metal Cutting (MC), the Programme Reform of TVET in Vietnam (TVET Programme) collaborated with the College of Machinery and Irrigation (VCMI) to organize this event with the participation of more than 100 students of the 3rd pilot class on August 31, 2023.

After the event, the students had a better view of the training programmes and how the final exams will be organized to meet the requirements equivalent to German standards. In addition, the students are also aware of the importance of complying with regulations on occupational safety, which is one of the most important criteria in the vocational training and education oriented on German standards. Tran Duc Anh, a student of Industrial Electronics class, shared his thoughts: “Thanks to this event, I have a better understanding of the occupation I am studying and know how to avoid possible risks in the process of studying at the college and training time at companies”.

The event was conducted within the component “Supporting High-Quality TVET Institutes” as part of the Vietnamese – German Programme “Reform of TVET in Viet Nam”. The programme is financed by the German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ), implemented by Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) together with the Vietnamese Ministry of Labour, Invalids and Social Affairs (MoLISA).
