A soft skill training and transcultural activity for PAM trainees in Vung Tau city

‘It is a unique training that I have ever been a part of. So many practical activities bring us come closer together. This helps consolidate the unity among us and define how the teamwork is important in studying and working. After the training, I feel much more confident to give a presentation in front of the public. Thanks to this activity, it creates a strong connection and gives us a sense of belonging in ONE PAM team now’, Le Van Hoa, a trainee shared. 

Under the framework of the Programme “Partnership Approaches for Development-oriented Vocational Training and Labour Migration” (PAM) in Viet Nam implemented by Lilama 2 International Technology College and The Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ), 49 trainees, who started their metal cutting training course in the middle of March 2022, joined in a two-day outdoor soft skill training and transcultural activity in Vung Tau city from 23 -24 April 2022. This activity was organized by Lilama 2 with its experienced teachers. 

The trainees were trained on soft skills including team building, presentation and searching for information which are crucial for trainees’ studying and working in the future. Furthermore, this helps trainees have a chance to do physical exercise, have fun and learn more from their peers.  

Additionally, a special activity attracted trainees’ attention was an introduction about Germany and its culture organized at the seaside in the first evening day of the event, facilitated by a German Development Advisor of GIZ , Fischer Andreas. Dinh Thi Hoa, a female trainee said: ‘This activity is really motivated to keep us studying and working harder to be able to participate in the labour force in Germany in the future. Thanks to the sharing of the teacher, I understand further the culture, food, festivals, economy and population of Germany.’
