From September 18th to September 21st, Bac Ninh College of Industry, with the support of Programme Reform of TVET in Vietnam, organised 02 software training courses on Eplan and Fluidsim. The two training courses were conducted simultaneously to separate groups of teachers of Electrics and Electronics Department.
Eplan and Fluidsim are popular software which aim to provide practical teaching and learning in the technical areas in general and Industrial Electronics in particular. These are useful tools which allow teachers and students to reinforce theoretical knowledge and simulate real-work scenarios. The use of Eplan and Fluidsim has been applied to the existing German standards-oriented training programme on Industrial Electronics at BCI.
The training course on Eplan software (from September 18th to September 20th) was delivered by Ms Ngo Thi Thuy – teacher of the Electrics and Electronics Department, who provided a tutorial guide for working with the Eplan workspace (creating and managing a project, drawing a schematic diagram, arrange panel layout, etc.) for 10 teachers. Meanwhile, Ms Nguyen Thi Hong – a teacher in the Electrics and Electronics Department, led the Fluidsim training which focused on hands-on skills in simulating electropneumatic control circuits through different types of diagrams in Fluidsim for 9 teachers. Ms Nguyen Thi Quyen, the trainee of the course, shared her thoughts: “After 4 sessions of training, we can craft an electro-pneumatic control circuit model by following sequential steps – from making state diagram, Grafcet diagram, functional diagram, to simulate, install, operate, and calibrate an electro-pneumatic control circuit. However, we should practice such kind of task more often and delve into real-life issues”. The Fluidsim training took place from September 18th to September 21st at different workshops of BCI.
Both training courses not only boost knowledge and skills for the teachers in these software applications but also give them a chance to exchange and collaborate during discussion and practice activities.
This activity is carried out within the framework of the Component “Support of High Quality TVET Institutes”, under the Viet Nam-Germany Cooperation Programme “Reform of TVET in Viet Nam”. The Programme “Reform of TVET in Viet Nam” is financed by the German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ), implemented by Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) together with the Vietnamese Ministry of Labour, Invalids and Social Affairs (MoLISA).
