On 29 and 30 May 2023, the College of Machinery and Irrigation (VCMI) and LILAMA 2 International Technology College (LILAMA 2) welcomed eight managers and teachers from Ninh Thuan Vocational College (NTVC). The visit marks the first step to establish a support network among the three colleges as they become High-Quality Institutes for Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) and leading centres of excellence for industrial occupations and renewable energies. LILAMA 2, VCMI and NTVC aim to partner in disseminating the cooperative training approach oriented on the German Dual System to other TVET institutes in Viet Nam. Further, the colleges seek to multiply their competencies to the TVET system by implementing the 3-year training programmes, developed based on German training standard and oriented on the Vietnamese industry demand.

The activity was conducted within the component “Supporting High-Quality TVET Institutes” as part of the Vietnamese – German Programme “Reform of TVET in Viet Nam”. The programme is financed by the German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ), implemented by Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) together with the Vietnamese Ministry of Labour, Invalids and Social Affairs (MoLISA).
