LILAMA 2’s new industrial training offer – Servicing and Commissioning – SINUMERIK 828D

LILAMA 2 International Technology College has expanded its training portfolio on industry applied trainings with the new further training course on Basic Service and Commissioning – SINUMERIK 828D.

Ms Phan Thi Anh Tu, qualified master trainer by Siemens experts, multiplied this 40-hour training from 05 – 10 January 2023 in the Digital Technology and Education Center of the CNC department at LILAMA 2 in teamwork with Mr Phan Hong Phuong. The master trainer team enhanced the competencies of seven LILAMA 2 teachers of the mechanical engineering and mechatronics faculties and could consolidate their own technologic and pedagogic competencies to become ready to offer the training also to manufacturing companies as a next step.

The training targets CNC programmers and machine operators to basically commission SINUMERIK 828D controlled CNC turning and milling machines and to improve their failure detection and remedy skills. Each participant received a certificate on course completion as proof of acquired knowledge and skills. The participating LILAMA 2 teachers are motivated to act as further multipliers to the vocational training system and to integrate elements of the course into their initial training of regular metal cutting-CNC students. Mr Nguyen Hong Tien, vice-dean of mechanical engineering faculty and one of the training participants shared: “This training will enable our LILAMA 2 teachers to update our knowledge and upgrade our competencies in operating CNC machines, specifically for Servicing and Commissioning.”

The practice-oriented training course was conducted in the frame of the Development Partnership with the Private Sector (DPP) “Vocational Training for Smart Manufacturing in Machine Tools”. The DPP is implemented jointly by the cooperation partners Siemens Limited Company Vietnam, LILAMA 2 International Technology College and the Programme “Reform of Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) in Vietnam” and supported by the develoPPP.de programme of the German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ) implemented by Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) GmbH in cooperation with the Vietnamese Directorate of Vocational Education and Training (DVET).
