To continue the training series of Digital Industry 4.0, LILAMA 2 International Technology College (LILAMA 2) recently launched an advanced training course on “Application of Scalance XS208 and S615 to industrial network safety and security” for teachers of Mechatronics and Industrial Electronics.
The training course was conducted from August 22, 2022, to August 31, 2022, with the content focusing on network safety and security issues. The objective of this training course is to provide the participants with knowledge and ability to set up a virtual private network (VPN), using SINEMA RC to establish communication and security between two automation production clusters, and configure the firewall in Siemens S615, install SINEMA RC applications on CPU Desktop, etc.
Interviewed in a group discussion about virtual private networks – one of the modules of this training course, Mr. Tran Huu Phuoc said: “The organisation of this training course is essential because it satisfies the high requirements of network security in the future 4.0 industry. As for the course’s content, I have mastered the knowledge of self-protecting data traffic by using IPsec encryption with a password and Switching VPN connections with an authentication certificate.”
At the end of the training course, the teachers were equipped with the necessary skills to continue multiplying the knowledge to teachers and students in the coming time and timely grasp the new trends of Industry 4.0.
The further training course was held within the component “Supporting High-Quality TVET Institutes” as part of the Vietnamese- German Programme “Reform of TVET in Viet Nam”. The programme is financed by the German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ), implemented by Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) together with the Vietnamese Ministry of Labour, Invalids and Social Affairs (MoLISA).
