On 22 April 2022, the event Introduction to Cooperative Training Programme and Work safety was successfully held with the enthusiastic participation of students of German-standard pilot classes from 2 occupations: Industrial Electronics and Mechatronics at LILAMA 2 International Technology College (LILAMA 2).
Mr Andreas Fischer, the Development Advisor from GIZ, had a speech to welcome all delegates, teachers, and students of the two pilot German standard cooperative classes. He instructed the students and answered their questions on how to use protection facilities such as clothes, gloves, shoes, glasses, and helmets. After that, Mr Tran Huu Phuoc – a teacher of Mechatronics, Technology Engineering Faculty,presented to students an overview on the individual steps of the cooperative training for the three German standard-oriented occupations at LILAMA 2. With the support from the Programme “Reform of TVET in Vietnam”, the occupational standards, training programmes, training phases in the company and at the college in-line with the training programmes have been developed and will be implemented by competent LILAMA 2 teachers and appointed in-company trainers.
Mr. Nguyen Trong Tin, Vice Dean, Technology Engineering Faculty, alsopresented the process for the German-standard exam so that the students can better understand the requirements and structure of the exam.
Ms Pham Ngoc Doan and Ms Bui Thi Thanh Anh – students of Industrial Electronics and Mechatronics – expressed their feelings at the end: “We feel very happy to participate in this event. It provided us an opportunity to understand and gain more useful information about the German-standard training programme and knowledge about protective equipment. We were really impressed and paid close attention to the instruction on how to use protective equipment since Mr. Andreas’s presentation was very specific and easy to understand. From there, we will be able to apply the shared knowledge in the classroom and future work environment to ensure the safety of ourselves and those around us”.
This activity was held within the component “Supporting High-Quality TVET Institutes” as part of the Vietnamese – German “Programme Reform of TVET in Viet Nam”. The programme is financed by the German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ), implemented by Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) together with the Vietnamese Ministry of Labour, Invalids and Social Affairs (MoLISA).
