The training course ”Thermal Joining and Cutting of Components and Assemblies by MMA Welding and Gas Cutting Procedures” for metal technology teachers of LILAMA 2, Long An and An Giang vocational colleges was conducted from 05-23.11.2018 at LILAMA 2 International Technology College in Long Thanh/Dong Nai.
12 pre-qualified practice trainers for Construction Mechanics acquired fundamental qualifications in producing steel components and assemblies by Manual Metal Arc (MMA) Welding and Oxygen-Gas Cutting Procedures.
“All training participants showed continuous improvement of their competence during the 120h training course. Furthermore, they proved necessary motivation and endurance for reaching good quality work at the end of the course when everybody had to complete his own project independently” explained Mr Lutz Dlugokinski, certified welding expert and trainer of the inter-company training center of the HWK (Chamber of Crafts) in Potsdam/Germany.
“The gained competencies will improve our own teaching performance in the regular training of our students” Mr Nguyen Ngoc Vinh said, “we improved our competencies in joining different steel plates and profiles, in several welding processes and in different positions according to welding procedure specifications (WPS) and welding sequence plans that the industry requires”.
This and the following training courses are part of a comprehensive further training concept for teaching staff of LILAMA2 College. The concept aims to build up the professional competence of vocational trainers comparable to the competence of a German skilled worker in the industrial occupations Metal Cutting-CNC, Construction Mechanics, Industrial Electronics and Mechatronics .
The training is held within the field of activity “Support of Centres of Excellence (CoEs)”as part of the Vietnamese-German Programme Reform of TVET in Viet Nam. The programme is implemented by Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) GmbH on behalf of the Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development.
