Representatives of LILAMA 2 and its partners gained insights in integrating digitalisation and industry 4.0 in TVET in Germany

“The study tour provided us with deep insights into new requirements for vocational education and training resulting from digitalisation and industry 4.0. These insights form a basis for taking  next steps on further training for our teaching and management staff as well as adaptation of the training programme for the relevant occupations to meet those requirements” said Mr Nguyen Khanh Cuong – Rector of LILAMA 2 International Technology College (LILAMA 2) at the closing event of “the digitalization and industry 4.0 – TVET study tour” which took place from 06 to 16 October 2018 in Germany.

During the ten-day study tour, the participants received inputs on trends among German companies using digitalisation and industry 4.0 as well as changes in vocational education and training requirements induced by digitalisation and industry 4.0. The participants also visited and discussed with technical staff and managers of various companies and institutes applying digitalisation and industry 4.0, such as Bosch Rexroth Würzburg, Festo Training and Consulting, ABB Trainings Centre Berlin, Siemens Training Center Berlin, MTS- Mathematical Technical Software Development Ltd, GIZ/UNEVOC Centre Magdeburg, Fraunhofer IFF/VDTC (Scientific Institute for Factory Operation and Automation with Virtual Development Training Centre), Chamber of Crafts (HWK Magdeburg) and Ministry of Economy, Science and Digitalization Saxony-Anhalt.
