If you are in contact with one business association you can reach hundreds of companies! Therefore Vietnamese Business Membership Organizations such as business associations, chambers and other industry representations are highly important.
By being involved in Cooperative Training, business associations can create a triple win: provide their members with solutions to get skilled workforce, enhance the labour market orientation of TVET institutes and contribute to the economic development and competitiveness of Viet Nam.
LILAMA 2 has understood the potential of cooperating with business associations. On 08 July they signed a Memorandum of Understanding with the Vietnam Association of Mechanical Industry (VAMI) and the Vietnam Automation Association (VAA). One focus of the MoU is the strategic partnership towards Cooperative Training. Both business associations were already involved in the development of occupational standards and draft training programmes for the new occupations Construction Mechanics Technician and Industrial Electronics Technician.
Additionally LILAMA 2 is in reliable contact with other business associations such as the Vietnamese Chamber of Commerce and Industry (VCCI) towards promoting TVET as a career option and train In-Company Master-Trainer.
On behalf of the German Government, GIZ is implementing the Programme Reform of TVET in Viet Nam. Its Field of Activity “Support Centres of Excellence for TVET” supports LILAMA 2 to provide demand-oriented Cooperative Training. This includes the development of occupational standards and training programmes based on German standards as well as networking with companies and business organizations.
