The College of Urban Works Construction hosted the announcement ceremony for the training partnership Eco-friendly building model. This energy efficient house construction TVET pilot initiative is established as a cooperation model with the private business sector. Within the partnership the College is working together with the training provider BFW Bau Sachsen, the construction material group XELLA Baustoffe and the project management consultancy Iproplan Planungsgesellschaft.

The prototype house at the premises of the CUWC can be utilized for practical training exercises and demonstrations of modern building insulations, solar energy generation as well as domestic water and wastewater installations.

The development partnership with the private sector under the BMZ funded and GIZ supported develoPPP.de programme wants to provide qualified specialists in energy-efficient and environmentally sound construction to meet the growing demand of the construction sector.
