On 10.08.2016, with support from the Programme Reform of TVET in Viet Nam, implemented by Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) and Ministry of Labor, Invalid and Social Affairs (MOLISA), the delegation of 17 experts and managers of TVET institutions from 5 ASEAN countries: Cambodia, Indonesia, Laos, Myanmar and Viet Nam, together with German experts visited and learnt from the Vietnamese enterprises’ experiences in cooperative training at Binh Duong Water Supply and Sewerage – Environment Company.
The delegation is warmly welcomed by Mr Nguyen Van Thien, President and General Director of BIWASE, board of management of Thu Dau Mot Wastewater treatment plant and Training Center. At the wastewater treatment plant, the delegation is introduced about the company’s business segments, wastewater treatment technology and method of organizing and managing enterprise – through that, the participants have a better understanding of the “real world of enterprises”.
After discussing with leaders and employers of BIWASE, the delegation exchanged with students being trained in practice at BIWASE under the cooperative training programme on “Sewage Engineering Technicians”. This training program is implemented under the training cooperation between BIWASE, southern sewage companies and Ho Chi Minh Vocational College of Technology (HVCT), supported by the Programme Reform of TVET in Viet Nam.
Besides initial achievements of the cooperative training model, the delegation also learnt about challenges in practical implementation to have a realistic sight of feasible approaches in cooperation with enterprises.
