In order to further strengthen the close and systematic cooperation with partner companies, Nha Trang College of Technology, with the support of the Programme “Reform of TVET in Vietnam ”- GIZ, organized a kick-off meeting to establish the Occupational Advisory Board for Automotive Technology on 27 December 2019.
Attending the meeting were leaders of the Department of Labor, Invalids and Social Affairs of Khanh Hoa province, Vietnam Chamber of Commerce and Industry in Khanh Hoa (VCCI), representatives from the Programme “Reform of TVET in Vietnam” – GIZ and 05 companies including Sao Mai Anh Company, Hyundai Tin Thanh Nha Trang Company, Truong Vinh HINO Company and Huy Tan Company.
At the meeting, the delegates discussed the cooperative training model and agreed upon the constitution, composition of the Advisory Board, roles and responsibilities of the board members. The delegates also identified key issues of cooperation including developing and updating training curriculum, conducting in-company training and assessing students’ practical skills.
Mr Tran Van Hai – Director of Nha Trang College of Technology confirmed “Members of the Advisory Board for Automotive Technology will finalize a specific implementation plan and a cooperation mechanism for the college and the companies to deliver demand-driven training offers.”
Representative of the companies, Mr. Nguyen Truong Vu – Director of Sao Mai Anh Co., Ltd. affirmed “As a member of the Advisory Board for Automotive Technology occupation, our company will work closely with the college to improve the quality of training, so that upon graduation, the students are able to meet the industry’s requirements in terms of qualification, practical skills and work attitudes.”
At the end of the meeting, a Memorandum of Understanding as the basis for the establishment and operation of the Advisory Board for Automotive Technology was signed between Nha Trang College of Technology and 05 partner companies with the witness of the leaders of the Khanh Hoa Department of Labor, Invalids and Social Affairs, Khanh Hoa VCCI and representatives of the Programme ” Reform of TVET in Vietnam” – GIZ.
Nha Trang College of Technology is supported by the Vietnamese-German Programme “Reform of TVET in Viet Nam” in developing into a high-quality TVET institute.
